Meeting held to report on Empowerment Project-based Research results

On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, a meeting was held to report on the results of Empowerment Project-based Research, a subject based on lectures and practical course work unique to the Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics (EMP). In this course, students learn about the importance of leadership and supportership through teamwork, as they work on projects through groups formed on their own. This year, five groups presented the results of one year of group work in the form of a hands-on exhibition. The event was open to the public as well, and about 50 people attended.

This meeting began with a description of EMP and the course by Program Leader Prof. Hiroo Iwata, followed by a presentation by each team concerning its project. After that, attendees were free to experience the projects themselves. This proved a valuable opportunity for student presenters to obtain feedback on their projects as numerous attendees experienced them hands-on.
