Prof. Hiroo Iwata speaks on “Empowerment Informatics” in the 10th AEARU Workshop on Computer Science and Web Technology
Prof. Hiroo Iwata, Program Leader of the Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics (EMP), spoke on “Empowerment Informatics” in the 10th AEARU Workshop on Computer Science and Web Technology held February 25-27, 2015 at University Hall on the campus of the University of Tsukuba.
This event, intended to promote academic research and international exchange in the fields of computer science and Web technology through oral presentations and poster presentations by researchers and students, was held as a part of the activities of the Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU), of which the University is a member. First-year students Hikaru Takatori and Kosuke Sato also took part from EMP, participating in the poster session.
The workshop also featured a keynote speech by EMP faculty member Prof. Yoshiyuki Sankai, a lecture by Prof. Makoto Itoh, and messages from Prof. Toshiyuki Inagaki and University of Tsukuba Vice President Caroline Fern Benton.
