FD Training Session held for new faculty
On Monday, July 6, 2015, a Faculty Development (FD) Training Session was held for seven new faculty members: Associate Prof. Jun Izawa, Assistant Prof. Mai Otsuki, Assistant Prof. Masakazu Hirokawa (all appointed in July 2014), Prof. Yoshihiro Hamakawa, Assistant Prof. Yuki Enzaki, Assistant Prof. Akitoshi Tomita (all appointed in April 2015), and Assistant Prof. Aki Yamada (appointed in July 2015).
Emceed by Prof. Takehisa Onisawa of the FD/SD Subcommittee, the session featured descriptions of: the roles and management policies of the Program by Program Director Specially Appointed Prof. Yuichi Ohta; an overview of the Program by EMP Program Leader Prof. Hiroo Iwata; the Program curriculum by Prof. Hideaki Kuzuoka, Curriculum Committee Chair; education, research, management, and effort by Associate Prof. Kenji Suzuki, Secretary General; and of FD by Prof. Onisawa of the FD/SD Subcommittee. The session concluded with questions and answers.
The EMP can be expected to strengthen further in the future as it welcomes these seven new full-time faculty members.
