At the Ghost in the Shell REALIZE PROJECT The AWARD, held February 11, 2016, Shift, a team consisting of third-year student Ryoichiro Shiraishi, second-year student in the Ph.D. Program of the Graduate School of Systems and Engineering Takehiro Fujita, first-year student in the Ph.D. Program of the Graduate School of Systems and Engineering Kento Inuzuka, and fourth-year student in the College of Engineering Systems Rintaro Takashima (planning to join the Program in the 2016academic year), won the Realize Hackathon Award, the top prize in the awards.

Their demonstration of the Cyber Protection Suit and providing the opportunity to wear the suit on the day of the exhibition inspired considerable excitement in the venue. Their suit was assessed to match the worldview of the manga “Ghost in the Shell,” the inspiration for the event, and to have high levels of completeness and practicality.
