Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun newspaper and multiple Internet media outlets reported on the Cyber Protection Suit, a work by Shift, a team consisting of third-year student Ryoichiro Shiraishi, second-year student in the Ph.D. Program of the Graduate School of Systems and Engineering Takehiro Fujita, first-year student in the Ph.D. Program of the Graduate School of Systems and Engineering Kento Inuzuka, and fourth-year student in the College of Engineering Systems Rintaro Takashima (planning to join the Program in the 2016 academic year), won the Realize Hackathon Award, of the top prize in the Ghost in the Shell REALIZE PROJECT The AWARD, held February 11, 2016.
In addition, the content of the lecture by Program Leader Prof. Hiroo Iwata during the University held as part of this event and the visual-function enhancement interface system work by the team Biomachine Industrial, consisting of fourth-year students Shota Ekuni and Koichi Murata and first-year student Yasunari Asakura, which was exhibited in this event after winning a merit award in the qualifying rounds of the REALIZE Hackathon Tokyo competition, were reported on by multiple Internet media.
