Jun Nishida delivers invited lecture at campus briefing on 2017 recruitment for Research Fellowships for Young Students by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science

On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, second-year student Jun Nishida, slated for a fellowship as a DC1 research fellow in the 2016 academic year, took part in a campus briefing on 2017 recruitment for Research Fellowships for Young Students by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), delivering a lecture as an instructor. This event held by the Research Administration/Management Office was intended to increase the percentage of students receiving JSPS research fellowships, as part of efforts to enhance research capabilities and train young researchers.

More than 200 people were in attendance on the day of the briefing. Following an opening message from Vice President and Executive Director for Research Yasuo Miake, Mr. Nishida spoke to the younger attendees about his own experiences applying for the fellowship.
