Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics (EMP) holds orientation for new students entering in the 2016 academic year

On April 11, 2016, the Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics (EMP) held an orientation for new students entering in the 2016 academic year, at the Empowerment Studio. The orientation was attended by six new EMP students together with Program faculty, EMP administrative staff, and others.

The day began with an orientation for international students, led by Assistant Prof. Aki Yamada, a Student Support Committee member, followed by an orientation for all new students. In the orientation, led by Prof. Kenji Suzuki, EMP Secretary General, EMP Program Leader Prof. Hiroo Iwata made some introductory remarks and then introduced Program faculty, after which Prof. Hideaki Kuzuoka, Curriculum Committee Chair, described the curriculum, Prof. Masahiko Morita, Degree Review Committee Chair, described matters including the Assessments of Student Achievement, and Associate Prof. Yoshinari Kameda, Student Support Committee Chair, described student life and other aspects of the program.
