Report on Waseda-Tsukuba-Tsinghua Leading Summer School 2017
On 30th September and 1st October we have organized the Waseda-Tsukuba-Tsinghua Leading Summer School 2017 at “Kobo” in Waseda University. This was a joint summer school among University of Tsukuba, Waseda University and Tsinghua University. In the workshop, 30+ students from three universities formed three interdisciplinary groups and worked on programming the behavior of a companion robot “cbot” developed by the Embodied Informatics program. Although it was less than two days workshop, all groups have successfully demonstrated their achievement at the final presentation. Also a social event was conducted on the Saturday night in which students, faculty members and staffs have exchanged ideas and deepened the partnership.
