The School of Integrative and Global Majors (SIGMA) 2018 Commencement Ceremony was held on 25th Mar, 2019 at the Empowerment Studio. This year, 9 students from Empowerment Informatics program were given their diploma from Prof. Shimizu, the SIGMA provost.
Tadayuki Tone was conferred the SIGMA Provost’s Award for his excellent results in academia. And the MEIKEIKAI Award was given to Satoki Ogiso.
* The MEIKEIKAI Award is given to students who have engaged in friendly outreach activities to introduce University’s education and research to general public and all those who are in charge of education surroundings, including children. Also, by making the most of their studying opportunities given during their life at the graduate schools, students to be eligible for this award should have widely shared what the University of Tsukuba is; what the University does; and how the University stay socially active, as part of their notable social involvements.
