First FD training session held

The Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics held its first FD training session on Friday, December 5, 2014. Chaired by Program Leader Hiroo Iwata, the session a lecture by University of Tsukuba Vice President Kazuhiko Shimizu (in charge of students), responsible for the Program’s School of Integrative and Global Majors, on the degree programs the University aims to provide. It featured a lively discussion as attendees asked questions on subjects such as the University’s policies for the future. Next, Vice President Yuichi Ohta (in charge of project evaluation & information) spoke on the roles of the Program and its management policies. This training session welcomed approximately 40 members of faculty and staff as attendees, as an excellent opportunity to reconfirm and discuss the Program’s roles and policies.
