Title: AI for human life, service and society

Abstract: Amid rising expectations for artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, the Artificial Intelligence Research Center has been established at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) as a center for AI research in Japan. This presentation will introduce next-generation AI research plans now underway and, through practical applications, case studies of stochastic monitoring technologies (Bayesian networks and probabilistic latent semantic analysis) using big data in AI for human life, service, and society in accordance with these plans.
