Fourth-year student Koichi Murata wins T.J. Tarn Best Paper in Robotics Award at IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (IEEE-ROBIO) 2015

I presented on the subject “Magnetic Resonance Compatible Stimulation Device Capable of Providing Passive and Active Finger Movements” at IEEE-ROBIO2015, held December 6-9, 2015 in Zhuhai, China. This presentation concerned an MRI-compatible stimulation device intended for use in measurement of brain activity during neurorehabilitation. Based on the judges’ comprehensive assessment of the Proceedings essay and the perspective of the presentation, it won the Best Paper Award in the Robotics section. The Best Paper Award is awarded to the best paper among the finalists chosen in each of four section from among all papers (398 in total) accepted for the conference.
