Kosuke Sato wins merit award in First Business Plan Competition

In the First Business Plan Competition: Co-creation by Students and Businesspeople, held March 5, 2016, second-year student Kosuke Sato presented on the subject “Development and Publicizing of a New Sport Using Compact In-wheel Motors: Superhuman Sport Carry Otto.”

Organized by four graduate schools in the Program for Leading Graduate Schools at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, this competition is intended to help students enrolled in programs involved in the Program for Leading Graduate Schools to learn how they can put to use in society their own research and the abilities they have acquired through their programs and to help industry learn about the human resources being developed in new graduate-school programs through contact with students from the Program for Leading Graduate Schools.

Ten teams that have passed a documentary screening process made presentations on new business ideas to address issues in society, and from these the idea presented by Sato earned the merit award reflecting the judges’ high regard for its creativity, business potential, and other qualities.
