Jun Nishida wins top prize in Laval Virtual Awards 2016: Environment & Health section at Laval Virtual 2016: 18th International Conference and Exhibition of Virtual Technologies and Uses

In the Laval Virtual Awards 2016, the international competition portion of Laval Virtual 2016: 18th International Conference and Exhibition of Virtual Technologies and Uses held in Laval, France March 23-27, 2016, the work bioSync won the top prize in the Environment & Health section.

Welcoming more than 14,000 participants from 40 countries each year, Laval Virtual 2016 is Europe’s largest convention exhibiting state-of-the-art virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies and interactive media works. In the international competition portion of the event, Laval Virtual Awards 2016, this project was screened in terms of its novelty, artistic properties, and other aspects by a team of judges made up of experts active on the international stage, winning the top prize in the Environment & Health section in recognition of its potential for spurring historical innovations in virtual reality. The winning work proposes a method of essential synchronization of physical properties. It is the second Laval award-winning work in a row from the Program after the bodily transformation device CHILDHOOD won an award last year.
