Jun Nishida wins top prize and JAL Entrepreneur Award in Microsoft Innovation Award 2016

In the Microsoft Innovation Award 2016 ceremony held April 23, 2016 at Microsoft Japan’s headquarters in Shinagawa, bioSync, a work presented as a finalist for the award, won the top prize and the JAL Entrepreneur Award.

Based on the keywords of “Innovation through Technology,” the Microsoft Innovation Award is an award presented by Microsoft to software, hardware, IoT, app, and other solutions that give form to innovative ideas. This year’s award was the ninth. The work was chosen through a process including interviews as the sole finalist by a student, and in the final screening on the day of the award ceremony it was chosen to win the top prize and the JAL Entrepreneur Award as a reflection of the judges’ high regard for its originality, novelty, social utility, technical difficulty, and service value.

Plans call for the work to be an invited exhibit at de:code2016, a Microsoft Japan event for developers.
