A delegation from the Leadership Program of Thammasat University in Thailand visits the Empowerment Studio.

On Friday, May 20, 2016, a delegation of 53 members, led by Dr. Naris Chaiyasoot, from the Leadership Program (TLP) of Thammasat University (Thailand), which has concluded an exchange agreement with the University of Tsukuba, was welcomed by Vice President Caroline Fern Benton and taken on a tour of the Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics (EMP).

During the tour, fourth-year EMP student Masa Jazbec provided an overview of the Program and gave a lecture on the content of students’ research and other efforts, in the special meeting room of University Hall. After that, the tour went to the Empowerment Studio to tour the facility. This tour proved a valuable opportunity to deepen exchange with Thammasat University, as members of the delegation were able to experience Large Space, the world’s largest virtual-reality (VR) space, and Big Robot, along with systems currently under development by students.
