Jun Nishida receives Honorable Mention for Best Research Demo at 23rd IEEE Virtual Reality Conference

At the 23rd IEEE Virtual Reality Conference held March 19-23, 2016 in the U.S. state of South Caroline, the work bioSync won the Honorable Mention for Best Research Demo.

Welcoming more than 500 participants each year, IEEE VR is the world’s top conference on research into virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). This project was recognized through a process of screening on the day of the event in the Research Demos section as having made an outstanding demonstration, winning the Honorable Mention for Best Research Demo as a result. Today, as research employing visual systems for consumer uses is becoming common, this demonstration provided a meaningful opportunity to reaffirm a new significance and new considerations regarding virtual reality based on kinesthetic senses.
