Second-year student Kosuke Sato wins merit award in Superhuman Sports Hackathon
At the Superhuman Sports Hackathon held Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26, 2015, Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics (EMP) second-year student Kosuke Sato won a merit award on a team with Ph.D. and master’s degree program students from Waseda University, Keio University, and the University of Tokyo.
The award-winning work was CarryOtto, a prototype device featuring a motorcycle engine controlled by reins as a superhuman sport combining human and machine based on a motif of ancient Roman chariot racing.
Plans call for exhibiting the award-winning work in Digital Content EXPO 2015, scheduled for Thursday-Sunday, October 22-25, 2015 at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan).
