Admissions for Academic Year 2019

In addition to the Doctoral degree, we will award the Master's degree in Human Informatics for students who will be admitted after the academic year 2018 once they pass the Qualifying Exam scheduled at the end of the 2nd year.

Maximum Number of Places Available For entry to the 1st year of the program: 12 students
For entry to the 3rd year of the program: A few or more students

*  This program is a 5-year doctoral program. Applicants who have earned a master’s degree are eligible to apply for admission to the third year of the program (equivalent to a doctoral course).

Notes For applicants residing outside Japan, the remote examination will in principle take place by connecting the applicant and the examiners in Tsukuba via Skype or Polycom. Details will be arranged once the web entries closed.

for applicants who have been made an offer to enroll in a graduate course at the University of Tsukuba
